DESIGN THINKING CHALLENGE

We did design thinking in our class. There are basically 5 steps of design thinking. It can be more or less. We did interview first to get to know about the partner and talked about the stories about the wallet. It’s called Empathy. It contributed to have the first design of wallet.
Next, we did the process called Define. We just organized all the interviews that we had and found the deeper meanings and feelings of what my partner said. It contributed to my design to be more organized as what my partner wanted.
After all, the most of the time that we had in class was to reflecting and designing again and again. It was the rest of the process called Ideate, Prototype, Test. We kept designing and giving feedback each other.
We were given 20 minutes of time to build the final real wallet for the partner with card boards, thread, scissors and things like that. So it was the design thinking that we did in the class.

The most of the time that I remember from this class was just all the reflecting, giving feedback and designing again. It was fun to know more about my partner who was to leave our school so it was more worthful time for me. I’m also wondering why we would have the time limit on the every single process. If I would have one more chance to do this again with more different ingredients to use, I would do it differently. I would think more about how I would make the wallet with the ingredients that I am given. I also would want more feedback from my partner.
